Howie is many of the things that make a Morgan a Morgan. He is above all, kind, willing, gentle, and good natured. A people horse. Which makes him very sensitive and attuned to the people that care for him. In particular, the barn manager, my riding instructor. Now all horses know who feeds them and turn them out, but it is much more than that. I never have to worry that he will look outside the ring during a lesson because he is always keeping a eye on her in the middle of the ring, handy! But, I'm not sure she realized how uspet he gets when she is yelling at one of us during a lesson. Howie just seems to take it personally and I can feel him getting more and more tense. I am trying to figure out how to explain to Howie that he is not the one she is talking to, but he does think he is the center of the universe, and there are days that I agree with him!
