How do you keep or find your motivation? Mine plays hide and seek with me. I wonder if I am just getting old or if other things are getting in the way? I just am not getting to the barn as often as I think I should. I hate to think I am becoming a fair weather rider. That is no excuse when the barn has a huge comfortable indoor. I do confess I miss my two friends that I used to ride with. They both have young horses too, and it was fun to watch their trials and tribulations, knowing I was going through exactly the same thing. Howie doesn't need ridden every day, but he could use a little more work than what he is getting now. It helps if you have a goal, like a horse show on a certain date, to work towards. But I am fresh out of goals. I suspect instead of motivation hunting, I should go goal hunting.

But also, you have been charging relentlessly through mundane, not fun, WORK outside of the important Howie Life! And maybe you developed ( subconsciously), an idea that if you can just push through this and get it all done right, life will be perfect! And even though you're done, you're tired!
ANYHOW, Boo misses Howie and needs some confidence from Howie. He's supposed to do 'trail homework', but needs his friend to give him moral support outside the ring. Boo knows Howie has the answers!
